テレビ東京、WBSで「コロナに思う」リレーメッセージ企画として放映されたものをまとめたものです。
キャスターの大江麻理子さんが「はじめに」を書いています。
私がWBSに登場したのは、4月15日、ちょうどニューヨークが最悪期を迎えて（いまから思うとピークを越えつつある）時期でした。
ようやく籠城生活とZoom授業のルーティンが確立しつつある時期で、コロナ後（ポスト・コロナ）のニューノーマルを考え始めたころでした。
あれから3カ月、さらにコロナについて思うところはどんどん膨らんで、コロンビア大学日本経済経営研究所（CJEB）で、
COVID下の日米経済についてのWebinarシリーズまで立ち上げてしまいました。別途ご案内しているとおりです。

Original （First）Editionから28年も経ってしまいました。星岳雄先生を共著者に招いて、ようやく改訂を終えることができました。この間の日本経済はバブル崩壊、政権交代、デフレ、アベノミクスなど激動でした。この失われた20年の経過とそれに終止符を打ったアベノミクスにも最終章で触れています。
