It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Professor Takatoshi Ito.
Professor Ito peacefully departed this world on September 20, 2025, after receiving medical treatment for Professor Ito’s illness with grace and strength.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who have shown kindness and support during this difficult time.
Your compassion and friendship have meant more to us than words can express.
In accordance with Professor Ito’s wishes, funeral services were held privately with immediate family members.

Please note that condolence visits, telegrams, monetary offerings, flowers, and other gifts are respectfully declined, and we kindly ask for your understanding in this matter.
Those who wish to remember Professor Ito may direct any expressions of sympathy to the following institutions, which Professor Ito held dear to Professor Ito’s heart.

伊藤隆敏は、かねてより病気療養中のところ、2025年9月20日に永眠いたしました。
皆様には御厚情を賜り深く感謝申し上げます。
なお故人の遺志により近親者のみで葬儀を執り行いました。
